DeepSearch Plugin – Privacy Settings
The Privacy Settings section allows you to manage how user search data is collected, stored, and anonymized. Use these options to help comply with data protection regulations such as GDPR.

Enable Search Input Logging
Description:
When enabled, DeepSearch will log users’ search queries. This can be useful for understanding search patterns and improving content strategy.
Note:
Ensure that users are informed of this logging if required by privacy laws applicable to your region.
Mask User IP Addresses
Description:
When this option is enabled, the last segment of each user’s IP address will be anonymized before being saved.
Purpose:
This helps reduce the risk of storing personally identifiable information while still allowing basic location or traffic analysis.
Log User Agent
Description:
When enabled, the plugin will store the user agent string along with each search entry. This typically includes browser, device, and OS information.
Use Case:
Useful for debugging and identifying patterns in usage across different platforms.
Warning:
The user agent may contain identifiable data. Enable this only if truly necessary and ensure your site’s privacy policy reflects this usage.
